DIN standard valve connector types

For many years, DIN valve connectors have provided a quick and economical disconnect solution to replace traditional hard-wired devices.

However, before choosing to use DIN valve connectors, it is important to understand the three standard types of DIN valve connectors. Because each type is used to achieve different goals, its shell size, pin type and pin spacing are also different.

Form A DIN Solenoid Valve Connector

1. Type A DIN valve connector:

Of the three types of valve connectors, the type A valve connector is large in size and can be identified by observing the shape of the connector head (a square with a side length of 1 inch) or three U-shaped pins facing inward. Its pin spacing is 18 mm.

This type of connector is designed to be used in conjunction with hydraulic and pneumatic solenoid valves to safely provide power by utilizing some waterproof method.

Type A valve connectors are manufactured in accordance with EN 175301-803-A (formally known as DIN 43560) standards and are available in two-pole and three-pole + ground.

2. Type B DIN valve connector

Type B valve connectors are ideal when there is not a lot of extra space reserved, such as in manifold valve groups. Since the head shape of this type of connector is rectangular, it can be installed side by side, thus maximizing the use of space. Therefore, some people also call them "micro valve connectors".

Similar to the A-type valve connector, the B-type valve connector can be used for hydraulic and pneumatic solenoid valves and marine solenoid valves.

This type of connector has two different pin spacings:

The pin spacing between pins 1 and 2 is 10 mm (EN standard), with one wing contact and two U-shaped contacts facing outward.

The pin spacing between pins 1 and 2 is 11 mm (industrial standard), with three wing contacts; this is the industrial standard.

The B-type valve connector is manufactured in accordance with EN 175301-803-B or industrial standards, and can be selected as 2 poles + grounding.

3. C-type DIN valve connector

Among the three valve connectors, the C-type valve connector is small in size. Its head shape is square, which is similar to the A-type valve connector. Due to its small size, it is sometimes called a "sub-micro valve connector".

These connectors are available with two different tab pin spacings:

8 mm between pins 1 and 2 (EN standard)

9.4 mm between pins 1 and 2 (industrial standard)

Type C valve connectors are manufactured to EN 175301-803-C or industrial standard and are available with 2 or 3 poles + ground.
